At a recent Sisters in Cloth meeting, Carol brought some exciting pieces of fabric that she had created. Tired of waiting for snow to fall (unlike last year), she bought a bag of ice from the supermarket and dyed using a method she'd read about in the August-September 20011 issue of Quilting Arts Magazine. Of course, as most of us, Carol improvised a bit. When she showed us the many pieces she had created, the oohs and ahhs could be heard on the next block, I think. Then, to our absolute delight, she told us each to pick out a piece as her birthday gift to us. I was lucky enough to pick this one.
Read Carol's post on the Sisters in Cloth blog. Lots more eye candy, as well as technique.

I'm also planning to try ice dyeing soon. It looks like a very exciting and fun technique!
