Is it Friday the 13th, a full moon, or what?

Sunday I went to Peg's to finish stitching the sunbonnet sue blocks together. I was determined not to go home until it was finished. I originally thought it was going to take only one day, but I've been there three times now and it is not yet finished. Very close, but not complete.

Here are a few of the reasons:

As the photos show, there was lots of "unsewing" done. I put two four-patches together wrong, and a lot of the 10" finished strips turned out to be 10 1/4"--too much to ease in. I was sure I measured right.
These strips had already been sewn together.

Peg was handy with the stitch ripper.
Our young friend is out of the ICU and doing better. I hope to post a picture on that day when she and her daughter are together with the quilt.

I also want the top to be done so that I can move on to some of my UFOs. My resolution for 2012 is to finish a number of them. Some friends and I pledged to each other that we would do just that.

Right now I am finishing knitting UFOs.
