I'd rather have snow.

In the year of the BIG SNOWS, everyone is posting photos.

Here is today at my house. I'd rather it were snow.

It took me over 30 minutes to clean off most of my car so I could go to work. The school was opening at 12:30, but they ended up closing the school altogether. With all the ice, you can well imagine why. Don't you agree that this is so much worse than snow? Even the 61" we've already had?

I finished my first Color Theory project, but it's pretty messy. We were to make a 4x5 collage from tiny paper pieces we cut from magazines. I never realized how much color is in Newsweek, the only magazine I have to cut up (we did some in class). I'm certainly not cutting up Quilting Arts.

I definitely got the wrong kind of glue. It didn't hold the tiny pieces down well, so they shifted and the glue then clumped on the top of the pieces. We were told that we could lay the pieces outside the edges of our 4x5 rectangle--so I did.

The light purple piece in the upper left corner really troubles me--I will try to move it.

I'm thinking this could be a nice quilt.

Yes I would take our 14-16" of snow any day over ice.

I'm thinking it will make a nice quilt too. We have over 1/2" of ice, but it is far less of an ice storm to me than the one in January, 1998 in Connecticut. This is the second day of ice..and dh still says that it was slithery to get down the road to get gas even though they lifted the emergency driving prohibition.
