- Ruth Anne Olson
- New Haven, Connecticut, United States
- I love fabric and have lots of it. Not only do I buy it, but I paint and dye more. I enjoy making "Art Quilts," although I appreciate and still occasionally make traditional quilts. My art quilt group, Sisters in Cloth, has 13 members who meet weekly to share, inspire, and challenge one another. We exhibit our work several times a year. I'm a member of SAQA--Studio Art Quilt Associates (see links to both below). I learned to sew as a young child, and have tackled many of the needle arts. The photography bug hit me at age 14, and my photographs often serve as inspiration or elements in my quilts.
